We had a fantastic stay at Lake Lodge, Wansfell Holme, Windermere. the location was ideal for our first visit to the Lake District. the hosts were incredibly helpful and nice, and they live next door with their two friendly and well-behaved dogs. the property itself has recently been renovated and is clean and well-maintained. the decor is beautiful and the bedrooms are spacious, providing the perfect setting for a comfortable stay. We felt very welcome and enjoyed our time at Lake Lodge.

The room at The Lake Lodge was cozy and welcoming, with a comfortable bed that made me feel right at home. The two bathrooms were a bonus, one with a shower and the other with a bath, providing options for relaxation and rejuvenation. Plus, the free toiletries added a touch of luxury to my stay.
Although I enjoyed my stay, I personally found one feature less appealing. But hey, that's just me!

This place is absolutely mind-blowing for first-time visitors to the Lake District! The location is super convenient and the view from the property is jaw-dropping. The decor is stunning and the size of the bedrooms is perfect. The hosts are so approachable and welcoming, and they even have two adorable big dogs. Everything was clean and newly renovated. They were so helpful and nice, and they live right next door. The property has all the amenities you could ever need, like Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, an electric kettle, and a dryer. Plus, there are so many outdoor activities nearby, like hiking, canoeing, fishing, wind surfing. They even provide baby essentials like a pushchair, playpen, and cots, and there are board games available for some family fun. The hosts also offer luggage storage and allow pets in designated areas! This place is absolutely perfect for an unforgettable stay.

Finding transportation proved to be a challenge as there was a shortage of taxis in the area. Waiting for a taxi for four hours was frustrating and delayed our departure.
